The Beginning
WAGGMI was founded in Istanbul by Berat Gür, born from a desire to create clothing beyond seasons, trends and convention.
The idea began with a personal search for pieces that felt distinctive without being loud, refined without becoming predictable.
Rather than approaching fashion through traditional rules, WAGGMI was built around proportion, structure, material and attitude.
What began as a personal pursuit gradually evolved into a complete visual world.

Engineering Meets Fashion
Berat Gür’s path into fashion began outside the traditional fashion world.
With a background in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, his approach to design has been shaped by an understanding of structure, proportion and construction.
This engineering perspective became part of the WAGGMI design language — from the balance of a silhouette to the construction of a garment and the relationship between material and form.
For Berat, designing a garment is not entirely different from engineering an object.
Every line, material and proportion has a purpose.

Founder & Creative Director
Berat Gür is the founder and creative director of WAGGMI.
His path into fashion was unconventional.
While studying Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, he developed a perspective shaped by structure, precision and the relationship between form and function.
Before WAGGMI, he built his career as a technology entrepreneur. Fashion remained a personal pursuit — a constant search for pieces he wanted to wear but could rarely find exactly as he imagined them.
Eventually, that search became a reason to create them himself.
Individual pieces became silhouettes. Silhouettes became collections. And collections became WAGGMI.
His engineering background continues to influence the way WAGGMI approaches proportion, construction and material.
The objective was never simply to create more clothing.
It was to create pieces with stronger identities.

The name WAGGMI originates from a phrase born within internet culture: We’re All Gonna Make It.
For WAGGMI, it represents something broader.
Ambition without permission. Optimism without naivety. The belief that identity is something you build for yourself.
WAGGMI is not about arriving at a destination.
It is about becoming.
